In recent years in the Russian Federation, the acute problem of social orphanhood. However, the General trend of increasing the number of care homes does not mean solving the problems of education and socialization of these children. The structure of the institutions, especially for their children contributes to the destruction of family ties, exacerbate feelings of loneliness, insecurity. To understand the situation it is necessary to consider socio-psychological portrait of the pupil of a boarding school who have an independent life. For most graduates of institutions characterized by undeveloped social intelligence (the ability to apply this knowledge in practice, ability to navigate in society and interact with it), dependency, lack of understanding of the material side of life. In fact, the ninth grade is for most young people last opportunity educational guidance in life. Towards the creation of a family life going almost everything, and the essence of this phenomenon, the factors necessary for the formation and maintenance of strong and healthy families in the school says very little. The graduates of the boarding schools have problems of adaptation to modern conditions of life, difficulties in finding work, starting a family, raising their children. The majority of these children are from disadvantaged and families. The absence in his own family positive family model leads to the inability to build a healthy family of your own. Moreover, according to statistics, children of former inmates of children’s homes very often get themselves in orphanages and boarding schools.
The importance of the work of the teaching staff in this area due to the need of design and development of educational space of boarding schools that enable students to acquire solid skills family relationships, nurture the complex of personal qualities that will enable him in the future regarding to successfully adapt to social life, to create my own family.
One of the forms of work in this direction is the implementation of the lessons from “the Family” under the subject “social studies”.
The main practical training for the purpose of these lessons is the education of children with disabilities ideas about family, its importance in human life, in creation, ready for a future marriage, creating a strong and lasting family.
to form ideas about the different social roles of people in the family: mother, father, wife, husband, etc.;
to teach proper ways of interaction between people living in the same household;
shaping perceptions of personal qualities of people needed to create strong family, to consider this knowledge when choosing a life partner;
to provide knowledge about the role of parents in the upbringing of children, their responsibility for their health and education.

Today’s lesson of “family relations”.
Throughout the life of the person is included with many different groups of their peers, friends, school class, sports and others. These groups can be different and vary in their composition. And only the family remains the group that the person does not leave. Family is something without which it is simply impossible to live. Anyone would be hard without family. Someone to rely on? Who will always listen and help? Of course our family! They always love you and waiting to give advice with you and rejoice in your successes.
What is a “family”?
Family is a group of people who are relatives (by blood or marriage) which are connected in common life, mutual aid, moral and legal responsibility.
You can still add that the family is a group of persons living in the same housing, leading a joint household.
At this stage of the lesson, the task of the teacher is to formulate a definition together with the students, based on their knowledge.
1.2. Explanation of new concepts.
The family as a living organism is born and dies. The birth of a family – marriage. The death of the family – divorce.
